Getting Started

While in reality it was only ten days, this section of our trip seemed to go on forever.  We understood before we set off that it often took time to get a vehicle released by customs, what we didn't expect was the drip feeding of information about each stage of the process.  It was an experience that kept us busy in Baltimore, but I think when we ship to Latin America someone else can handle the paperwork.  Nevertheless, seeing Bee's container drive into our  haulier's yard gave us a huge buzz.  We had waited 10 days already and it was touch and go whether we would get her released from the port before the Easter break.  At 4:45pm she finally turned up unscathed.  We had walked for miles in the baking spring sun to get everything aranged.  Had we been delayed another 15 minutes the whole operation would have been cancelled and we would be forced to stay in the city for at least another four days.  Now those worries could be cast aside.  Bee was here and now we could at last be on our way.

Well done All Freight & many thanks.
